Job Summary

The Business Ethics Alliance is hiring an individual for a support “roving” position for various functions within the Alliance including database, fund and business development, marketing and communication, programming, research and metrics, and bookkeeping/accounting. Opportunity for extreme learning about every aspect of small business.

ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW

The Alliance is a one-of-a-kind city-level initiative committed to providing practical positive business ethics. We do this through our community programs, speaking engagements, custom workshops, and a variety of fee-based ethics products. Our office is housed on Creighton University’s campus. We are a partnership with the Omaha business community, the Heider College of Business at Creighton University, the Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce, and the Better Business Bureau.

What to Expect Day-To-Day

  • Manage all accounting and bookkeeping functions, including, but not limited to:

    • Work on diverse projects assigned by the Resources and Development Director

    • Prepare tools that support fundraising activities

    • Draft marketing/communication documents

    • Maintain data in CRM

    • Support market research through logistics, note-taking and preparing reports from focus groups

    • Create and implement social media campaigns

    • Support logistics for community programs

    • Research ethics issues in popular press, magazines, trade journals, and academic journals

    • Assist with Alliance mailings

    • Assist with bookkeeping and financial record keeping

    • Any other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge

  • A Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • Extremely hard working.

  • Strong initiative and sense of responsibility

  • Avid learner.

  • Creative thinker with excellent written and verbal skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work independently with a strong team focus.

  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.

  • Reliable transportation is required.
