Communications Cadre

Our Communication Cadre is a core group of trustees with expertise in marketing, communication, and public relations. This Cadre guides and advises our external outreach to the community.

Kristi Anderson

Kristi Andersen brings over 20 years of experience in journalism, public relations, and commercial real estate. Her career began as a TV journalist covering major events, followed by roles as Nebraska’s Press Secretary for a U.S. Senator and Director of Communications for Omaha’s top venues.

Today, Kristi is the President of NP Dodge Commerical with more than $100 million in career sales volume. Known for her integrity, local insight, and client-focused approach, she builds trust and delivers solutions that help businesses and developers succeed.

Josh Planos

Josh Planos serves as the Vice President of Marketing, Communications & Public Relations for the Better Business Bureau of the Midwest Plains and as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Josh is Accredited in Public Relations and serves as the Accreditation and Ethics Chair of PRSA Nebraska. He is an alumnus of Creighton’s Heider College of Business MBA program. At BBB, Josh oversees all external and internal communications efforts.

Blake Peterson

Blake Peterson, CEPA®, is a Wealth Advisor with Carson Wealth in Omaha. He helps individuals, families, and business owners simplify financial decisions, plan for long-term security, and build lasting legacies. As a Certified Exit Planning Advisor, Blake also supports business owners as they prepare for transitions and life after a sale.

Jen Rae Wang

Jen Rae Hein-Wang is an Omaha-based communications and strategy leader, and President & Founder of Hein Strategies and Velara Wins. She previously served as NASA Associate Administrator for the Office of Communications and helped support the early work behind the Artemis program. She also serves on the Omaha Public Library Board of Trustees and is active in Omaha civic leadership.
