

Dr. AnnMarie Marlier serves as Executive Director of the Business Ethics Alliance. Before joining the Alliance, she spent much of her professional career in higher education administration, serving in roles including Academic Dean, Director of Institutional Effectiveness, Academic Program Director, and Director of Student Activities. Throughout her career, AnnMarie has developed and directed numerous academic programs and taught courses at nearly every level, from pre-GED through doctoral education.
Beyond higher education, AnnMarie has developed curricula and led training for corporate, nonprofit, and consulting organizations. Her diverse professional experience also includes owning two businesses and serving as a manager for the Disney Stores.
AnnMarie earned her Ph.D. in Urban Education with a concentration in Adult, Continuing, and Higher Education and a minor in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee. Her research focused on faculty development, leadership, and organizational studies. She also earned a Master of Education with a concentration in Adult Education from Carroll University and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Norbert College, where she studied Communications/Media/Theater and English.
Outside of the Business Ethics Alliance, AnnMarie remains actively engaged in the community and professional development. She is a Leadership Nebraska alumna, participates in Girl Scouts alumni activities, and is an active member of the Omaha Network and the Association for Corporate Growth. She also serves as the point of contact for Nebraska Women in Higher Education Leadership and is pursuing multiple belt levels in Taekwondo.

Shannon joined the Business Ethics Alliance in July 2021 and recently celebrated five years with the organization. She studied Human Relations at Doane University and brings a diverse professional background spanning the insurance, legal, finance, and direct mail industries. She also holds a Diploma in Operations Management and is certified in Project Management, bringing a strong foundation in organization, coordination, and process improvement to her role.
As Director of Operations, Shannon plays an essential role in keeping the Alliance’s day-to-day operations running smoothly. She oversees the organization’s CRM database, trustee and vendor relations, event logistics, and a variety of administrative and operational functions that support the Alliance’s programs and mission.
Known for her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail, Shannon approaches challenges with a solutions-focused mindset. Her commitment to operational excellence and dependable support helps ensure the Alliance can effectively serve its trustees, partners, and the Greater Omaha community.

Dr. Hamza Haqqi joined the Business Ethics Alliance in December 2024 as Director of Educational Programs and Events. He brings experience in curriculum development, program design, and grant writing, with a strong focus on community impact and innovative education.
He holds a Doctor of Education from Baylor University, as well as degrees from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. A longtime supporter of the Alliance, he attended signature events, including EthicSpace, before joining the organization.
Hamza was recognized as a 2025 Midlands Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree and the 2025 Nebraska Tech Collaborative Volunteer of the Year. He is also a 2026 Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Chamberlain Scholar.
Hamza is passionate about education, leadership, and community engagement and is committed to creating meaningful opportunities that strengthen organizations and the communities they serve.
